Founders' Day weekend style

On Jan. 15, my beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. marked her 104th anniversary. Busy weekend with nice outfits.

(Bottom) For a service in memory of a chapter member/former national officer, I wore Salvatore Ferragamo dress, Manolo Blahnik Carolyne slingbacks and (not shown) a Reina/Suarez black Kelly bag.

Shoespiration

Elle Macpherson (right) shows you can wear flat sandals for evening. Yes, I'm thinking about this for our debutante ball on March 10. I've got a cooler celadon green gown and silver flat sandals from J. Crew Collection.

Sisterhood

On the left is my lovely sorority sister. She's wearing a Tadashi Shoji "loden" (looks like pine to me) dress. I found it for her at Loehmann's for something like 90% off retail (and got one for me).

New Year's Eve!
